As much as I love this scene and how sad it is, House is right. We're all in pain and had that moment where we just wanna give up. This truly shows that he loved Wilson as a friend and brother.

Pain makes you colder, cynical, angry, easily disgusted by virtually everything, bitter, self loathing, more blatant, more explicit with what you say. When you're in pain, you don't care. You just need to say what you think and get on with it all. Because every moment is another years worth of temporary anguish in a short duration...until it's relieved. Hydrocodone, morphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, methadone etc. Pop one, two or twelve. Depending on your tolerance. Up , down and back and forth with the Mary go round. But those happy pills only last for a limited duration before you're in pain again. And don't you dare take more than you need because something, something addiction and stigma. And every pain patient in the West has been treated like a drug addict since day one of the diagnosis for the pain. Or maybe worse and it's idiopathic. Would you rather know why you're suffering or keep it up to mystery if it can't be 'cured'. Life is pain. Life is unfair . Life makes little sense. It's illogical, cruel, hard and abusive. And even through all the anguish, there is light in the darkest places you wouldn't expect.

There will ALWAYS need to be miners, delivery drivers, maintenance men, plumbers, construction workers, lumber jacks, carpenters, stoneworkers. These are FUNDAMENTAL to any society, every empire was built on the backs of these jobs, and when these trades were neglected, empires fell.

The funny thing about this is that due to the over-supply of college graduates and the under-supply of skilled trades workers, Darryl is more relevant than ever lol
